In a first for the Venice Biennale, two national pavilions are collaborating on a single project. The catalysts are Michael Elmgreen (DK) and Ingar Dragset (NO). For the 2009 Biennale, they have converted the neighbouring pavilions into private residences.
Visitors to the ‘family home’ witness clues to an imminent break-up, whilst outside the ‘bachelor pad’ a swimming pool with a dead body floating in it is proof that all is not well.
The image represents a new interpretation of the original installation.
